Why PKR Is More Appealing To The Younger Generation?

For many months I have been looking for the answer. So many thoughts came into my minds but none will be as close as this. I guess I have to thank Astro Awani for bringing up so many PKR reps into their show as it helped me to understand their thinking better. Watching them (PKRs) in You Tube has not helped much as they were not pushed by other speakers from the ruling party to reveal their true self, their belief and their agendas. So, two thumbs up for Astro Awani.

Tonight another PKR’s rep was called into the show and asked about her thoughts on the recent fiasco at the Parliament. Fauziah Salleh like many other PKR followers talked about ‘Ruang’ (Rooms or Spaces) and ‘Openess’ when dealing with the issue. It seems the word ‘ruang’ or ‘berikan ruang’ has been the main argument used by PKR when dealing with many issues. Perhaps they should change the party name into Party Ruang Rakyat instead of Parti Keadilan Rakyat. It suits them well.

When asked about the behaviour of YB Nizar and his geng, Fauziah responded by trying to JUSTIFY their action. Instead of discussing whether such behavior is RIGHT or WRONG, GOOD or BAD for the people, she diverted it to the of question whether such action is warranted in such circumstances. The ‘Ruang’ and ‘Openess’ issue are thrown here by her in defending YB Nizar & The Gang. She started to act as the legal counsel for them and gave examples on feedbacks that she received from HER sources.

If I am a young person (student or just graduated from IPT), I will definitely find such argument appealing. WHY? It makes me FREE TO DO AS I WISH as long as I can give an excuse. What PKR is doing is like teaching young people that one can break the law as long as one can find an excuse for it. You can be a Mat Rempit as long as you can give a reason why.

If the situation in Perak is an excuse for YB Nizar & The Gang to behave as they did, then Mat Rempit can say that there’s nothing wrong for them to be Mat Rempit as long as they can show the excuse – for example, broken family. The thief can justify his action of stealing because he’s desperate for money and sodomy can be permitted because there are gay people in this country. What a crap!

Instead of teaching good values and adherences to laws of the country, PKR tries to give so many ‘Ruang’ for the people to do the opposite. Ironically, when the PKR’s rep in Perak crossed over to BN not long ago, they branded them with names (bad names of course!). They talked about the law and morality issues, etc. Hey!, how about some ‘Ruang’ here. They have justified their decision to  leave PKR. What’s the fuss!

Not long ago I wrote about how many people chose to change their faith for the sake of convenience and not because of their belief [Read Here] . Well, it is much the same here. The young one will prefer PKR as they are more attracted  to PKR concept of ‘Do as you wish and get away with it’. It’s all about self interest rather than national interest. The openess, ruang, freedom, liberalisation blah blah blah  really goes well with the kids. They don’t really care what it can really mean for them in the future, it’s effect on their future. Then again, how can we blame them? There are just kids.

Sivakumar Had NO Power!

Abuse of Power? You judge it yourself.

According to The Federal Court, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his six state executive councillors cannot be suspended from attending the state legislative assembly for alleged contempt as the offence is not provided for under the Perak State Constitution.

"Federal Court judge Datuk Seri S.Augustine Paul, in his written judgment, said Article 44 of the Perak State Constitution, read together with the Standing Orders of the legislative assembly and the Legislative Assembly (Privileges) Enactment 1959 did not provide for the offence of contempt and the resultant punishment of suspension from attending sessions of the state legislative assembly. Therefore, the suspension order of 18 months for Dr Zambry and 12 months for the councillors made by state speaker V. Sivakumar was null and void as Sivakumar had no power to do so, he said. “The power to deal with contempts, which is not provided in the Standing Orders of the legislative assembly, is not something that the Speaker can take cognizance of as it requires a law to that effect,” Paul said in his 64-page judgment dated June 3 and made available Thursday” The Star Online

Bagai Ludah Terpercik Ke Muka Sendiri
